Southern Double-Collared Sunbird
Sunbirds are small and move very quickly, so this singing individual offered rare stationary opportunity as it belted song from the top of this cactus. I was worried the shooting angle wouldn't work -- the bird was perched a few feet above my head -- but I backed off to minimize that dreaded, overhead effect. Certainly one of my favorite frames from this inaugural trip to this incredible country!
