Ruddy Duck
This little guy rolled up while I was seeking Common Goldeneye at a local lake. There was a bit of chop on the water, and I was struggling to get a full body shot where the bird wasn't obscured by wavelets. A dive eventually brought him up just 20 feet from me, and I got as much of his body as I could from such close range. The posterior didn't fit, so I isolated this headshot instead. I like how he's cresting one wave and there's some distance to the next behind. Hella cute, right?
