Spotted Towhee
I'd totally struck out on the photo front to this point in the morning but flushed this bird as I explored a bit of trailside brush. He flew onto this exposed perch, and a bit of playback kept his attention as I crept closer. The perch is a bit higher than I'd ideally like - a foot lower would have been perfect - but I though the singing pose and beautiful rufous flank were enough to overcome the mildly-elevated shooting angle.
