In a perfect world, this bird would have been in a steeper bank to reveal more of the far/right wing, but I think perfectly lit face and direct eye contact overcome that shortcoming. The far wing imparts enough depth as is, and I really like the two-toned background because the water at the bottom suggests the aquatic habitats this species prefers. Stoked to avoid shadows with the low, end-of-day light!
