Short-billed Dowitcher

This bird and its nine sleepy companions were the most approachable dowitchers I've ever encountered. They let me walk within ten feet without flinching, so the hardest part of this capture was getting one bird awake and in isolation. It took a bit of maneuvering to peel this subject away from the group, and I was stoked when it fluffed it feathers while I was cracking off frames.
