Red-necked Phalarope (breeding female)
This is a female swimming across the same path of golden water alluded to in the previous frame. She was riding a bit lower than the male in that frame, so I decided to go with a 1.6x crop (versus 1.5x) to show a bit more of the water to her right. The curious head turn results from her hearing my camera shutter as she paddled past my prone position. She's riding pretty low here, so I sent with a 16:9 crop to show a bit more of the golden water.
