Red-necked Phalarope (breeding male)
Since I spent most of this morning shooting the more color females, I felt it appropriate to show the duller males as well. This was one of the last frames I captured this morning, the sun rising throughout my session, and I thought it represented an appropriate stopping point once the sun had climbed beyond its optimal point. It was an amazing 90 minutes with the 8 phalaropes!
