Pectoral Sandpiper

Without much behavior to motivate this frame, I decided to go with a wide crop to feature the soft pastel surroundings, those tones imbued by smoke-filtered sun. Wildfires have ravaged California this summer and fall, and this frame will serve as a reminder of the devastation. Though the LNU fire engulfed much of surrounding Solano County, the blaze spared the park, the adjacent eight-lane freeway acting as fortunate firebreak.
