Black Oystercatcher
This might have been the most confiding oystercatcher in history, the bird letting me float within 8-10 feet in my inflatable kayak. I have several similar headshots of this species from this same location, but I can't resist snapping super-detailed headshots when I get so close to such a cool subject. I never get tired of that beak. Not sure how the feathers got stuck to this example, but they didn't seem to both the bird.
