Black-bellied Plover (winter plumage)

I have a nice array of BBPL flight shots, but the fully-extended upstroke was a pose I was missing prior to this crushing shot. I was lucky to avoid shadows, and we can see enough of the far wing to give the image some depth. I was stoked the bird came up off the water as that helped generate the super blurred background. This heavily-cropped image represents only 5MP of the 20MP on my DX2 sensor, but I think the detail held up really well in this instance.
