This guy grabbed this sand flea from the surf and sprinted back to the dry sand ahead of a breaking wave. His orange beak and high contrast garb motivate many photographers, but I am equivalently attracted to those big knotty feet! Their strong grips helps this species navigate rocky shorelines when open beaches aren't available.
