Just a low and well-lit view of this beach denizen. I love trying to get a perfectly clean frame by getting the lens low and blurring out all potentially distracting foreground and background elements. I was almost perfectly successful here; if you look carefully, you can see several diffuse specular highlights - they're faint - above the bird's brown back. Those are feeding sanderlings fifty yards down the beach.
