Virginia Rail

As a huge fan of low angle blur/bokeh, this was a dream result. This subject crossed a gentle bend in the gravel road where I was laying, and the diffuse rainbow background results from a distant stand of vegetation with a bit of blue sky peaking through it, a wide crop employed to exaggerate those surroundings. I think this image has a very painterly feel as a result. Low angle also helps to disguise the road, so that's an additional plus.
