Eared Grebe

I see these little swimmers all the time while I'm birding around the Bay Area, but I hadn't been afforded a close, super-low angle photo opportunity until this guy swam up to me while I was clicking Northern Shovelers at a local pond. They're not much to him, but the red eye makes for a nice pop of color in the blue abyss. I'm sill wanting to catch one of these in their more striking breeding plumage.
