Little Blue Heron
This photo and the adjacent are two of my all-time favorites because of the splash in each. In this instance, the bird was pulling his head out of the water after a split-second stab into it; that's why there's water above his head. If you looks closely, you can see the bird's eye through the splash. Coupled with the super smooth water on this windless morning, I think it's one of the most unique frames in my collection.
