I'm not usually a fan of flight shots against the clear blue sky - mostly because it's generic and doesn't lend much habitat context - but this frame was a notable exception. This high-contrast species is beautifully striking, and the full topside bank gave me a fully-extended view of their exaggerated wings. My only issue is the right wing being a bit close to the top of the frame, but that's pretty minor against the rest of the shot. Yeah, I could have added canvas for relief, but decided to keep leave it as is.
