Atlantic Puffin
I'm not good at capturing/creating habitat images, but I 'm hella stoked the idea occurred to me on this occasion. I started the afternoon session with my 600mm lens but switched to my 100-400 once I'd captured a bunch of close-up, frame-filling images. Crawling along the cliff, I zoomed out to 100mm to capture the pair in these stunning surrounds, a quick whistle demanding their attention and adding catchlights to their eyes. I'm super happy with the clouds because the upper part of the frame would have felt very empty without them. This is probably one of my favorite images I've ever captured.
