Great Egret

I was completely absorbed with shorebirds on this morning, but I saw a sweet small-in-frame opportunity when this larger subject wandered through background of my viewfinder. I was already laying in the mud, so it was as simple as refocusing from that low vantage. I knew the smoke-filtered sunlight would imbue the scene with a soft, painterly quality.
