Western Sandpiper
This static subject isn't very exciting, but I thought I could create something different by playing around with the crop once I put the file into the computer. The super smooth/empty beach isolated the subject nicely, and I decided to elongated the canvas to exaggerate the negative space. This shot is all about the surrounds; if I cropped in tighter on the subject, I think the frame would lose its appeal.
