Loggerhead Shrike

This is the same bird and perch as the ensuing frame photographed before I started my slow approach. I'm a huge fan of small-in-frame shots, and I thought the softly-graded background and relatively-streamlined perch would help me achieve that compositional goal in this instance. This crop represents less than 50% of the original frame, so I was pretty happy with how the detail on the bird held-up .
