Belted Kingfisher

This opportunity presented as I paddled into Pillar Point harbor in search of waterfowl, the early morning mist diffusing the sun's rays to create the soft pastel background. I left the crop wide since I liked the simple trace of bird and rock, and I dropped the exposure only to the point I could see the bird's white collar. I've entirely blackened my silhouettes in the past, so I figured I'd leave that slightest suggestion of detail here.
