Northern Fulmar (dark phase)

These stocky petrels look a bit like flying potatoes, but they're still graceful as they navigate the open ocean. The flat light really helped even out the exposure on this shot, and I went with a wider crop to show a bit more of the surroundings and give a sense of the bird's arcing trajectory. Stoked to avoid shadows on this high-overcast day!
