Viscasha
This was the most unexpected animal when I stumbled into it at 14,000 feet; it's a chinchilla relative that looks like a cross between a marmot and a jackrabbit. Abundant in Lauca Nationa Park, the adorable beasts were quite approachable as they explored the antiplano. They moved kinda slow, and it seemed like many had a hard time keeping their eyes open, that appearance suggesting them hella stoned. I didn't see a single raptor in my time at their preferred elevation, so it's possible that they can survive half-baked.
