Elephant
I saw loads of these magnificent beasts in South Africa and Namibia, but I was usually so enthralled with them that I didn't think to take pictures. That and most were in unwieldy groups or buried in thick foliage! It wasn't until this older example -- as judged by the large but broken tusks -- came loping across the veldt that I reached for the camera. It's such a simple shot, but I really like this view of the ancient animal. Gotta love those huge ears!
