Hudsonian Godwit

This species is very rare in California, this vagrant individual found in San Mateo County on October 15, 2019. Fortunately, it stuck around for a few days, and I was able to spend Oct 17 and 18 photographing. I didn't get anything worth keeping on my first visit, but I did much better on my second. Cloud and mist made for constantly shifting/changing lighting conditions, but I was able to get a few frames where the bird was well lit. White line in the background is a breaking wave in the distance.
