Dunlin (winter plumage)

Winter plumage Dunlin aren't the most exciting subjects given their plain plumage, so I decided to get hella low, create exaggerated blur, and maximize subject isolation. The blue foreground is a tidal mudflat covered in a thin layer of water; the green background is a distant beach dune covered in beach grass. I'm very happy with the soft gradient between the two colors. Also happy to get him with his head up. He spent 99.99% of his time poking around for food.
