Black Oystercatcher

Pretty standard shot of this species, particularly without any action, but I liked the gnarly rock and the backing earthen cliffs. I did a bit of exposure recovery to show the scales on the legs, but otherwise pretty standard processing. This is yet another shot from my inflatable kayak. I was able to float within 8 feet of this bird a bit after this initial encounter!
