Long-billed Curlew
My first flight shot of North America's largest shorebird! These incredible birds make occasional appearances at my local shorebird spot, maybe 1-2 per visit, but they always fly-by at high angles which area high angle useless for photography. I nearly fell off my rock perch when I saw this guy coming in low, and I ended up with a nice burst of 5 in focus shots. I chose this one because of the symmetrically raised wings and complete lack of shadows. The dangling feet are pretty sweet too!
