Marbled Godwit

As far as I'm concerned, this frame is all about the diffuse, two-toned background. These guys tend to fly very close to the water at my local spot, so I was thrilled this individual took a higher line. I would have liked a bit more of a banking pose, but we can see enough of that far wing that I think the shot works. I also like the dangling feet, even if I can't exactly sort out what's going on with the clubby-looking one!
