Gray-tailed Tattler
Though best known for its forest/land birds, Thailand is a great destination for shorebird lovers. The Gray-tailed Tattler is among 60+ species which occur in the country, this individual materializing at the Laem Pakarang sandspit two hours north of Phuket. Jagged shards of coral made crawling impossible, but I was able to approach this obliging individual on foot before dropping to my stomach to capture this frame.
