Indochinese Blue Flycatcher

Formerly considered conspecific with the mostly Indian Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, the Indochinese Blue Flycatcher is found throughout Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and peninsular Malaysia. I caught up with this male at a deep forest feeding station near Kaeng Krachan National Park in Pretchaburi. There wasn't much light inside the thick vegetation, but the combination of max aperture, high ISO, and sturdy tripod yielded satisfactory results when strong noise reduction was applied specifically to the background.
