African Penguin
This was from my second morning visit to Boulder Beach, after I'd studied the light angles on my first. On this occasion, I passed on the main boardwalk and instead opted for accessible and isolated beach, where I lay flat on the sand ahead of sunrise and waited. Eventually, penguins starting entering and exiting the water right in front of me, several birds waddling within six feet! It was one of the coolest birding experiences of my life.
