Eurasian Hoopoe

The light sucked on this rainy but, but the conditions didn't stop me from getting down and dirty with this incredible bird on the central lawn at Satara Rest Camp. He used his long beak to poke around in the soft soil, and I didn't miss when he pulled this grub up. I'm not wild about the fluffy feathers on the back, but those are the breaks!
