Greater Flamingo

I crawled through hella soft mud for the better part of an hour to get into position for this shot, but my effort was rewarded when this bird walked right in front of me. At five-feet tall, the elegant wader towered over me as I lay prone on the tidal flat! It's such a simple shot, but the blue-and-pink color scheme is unlike anything in my collection. Very peaceful....
