Dune Lark
Hiking was our primary motivation on this morning, but my decision to lug my 100-400mm lens was validated when this bird, Namibia's only true endemic, scampered across our path on our return. The sun was well above the horizon by this late-morning hour, but I dropped to the ground and cracked-off several frames before the subject fled me. I'm happy with this wide view as it shows the rolling dunes this species prefers.
