Rosy-faced Lovebird
This is admittedly a 'cheap shot' because both birds were lured with food, but I knew I could create a really fun image when the Monteiro's Hornbill landed directly behind my primary subject. Like all the frames from this morning shoot, I had to go with a headshot to keep the unnatural perches out of the frame; the lovebird was standing on a hella ugly chicken wire cage while the hornbill occupied the edge of a wooden table. Again, the place wasn't set-up for proper photography, but it was amazing to see this bird and the various hornbills so well!
