Silvery Grebe

I was surprise to find grebes at 14,500 feet of elevation, but this bird proved as cooperative as his lower elevation relatives when I dropped to my stomach on the lakeshore. Overcast conditions rendered the water gray (instead of blue), but I really like how the red eye cracks in the grayscale surrounds.
