Short-billed Dowitcher

While I'm usually looking to capture the wings fully extended in either the upstroke or downstroke, I liked the compact and aerodynamic profile of this mid-stroke pose. I don't do much flat light shooting, so I decided to hang on this frame to complement my color-saturated collection. Best part about this frame? It was petroleum-free because I rode my bike 6 miles to the location (and another 6 back)! Easier said that done with the 600/DX in my backpack.....
